Welcome to the home of WheelMUD, we continue to be a project dedicated to the creation of a Windows based MUD server built using .net framework 3.5 and C#
Due to unforseen circumstances, I may have to take the site off line for a while.
I'm currently renting the house that I'm in, while I'm building a new house nearby. Just found out today that the owners put this house up on a short sale. We (my family and I) may need to move out of here fairly fast. I don't know where we are going to live in the meantime. That also means that my internet service will be interrupted. I host this site on my own cable connection, but on a dedicated server. Everything is in limbo at the moment.
I will try to post another announcement once I have more details. If I do not have enough time to post something here, please keep an eye on the CodePlex page at http://www.codeplex.com/wheelmud
The new house is supposed to be completed towards the end of May or June. I'm hoping that the site will not be offline that long, but one never knows. It will be for sure brought back up, once we move into our new house.
I don't know how the target framework got changed from 2.0 to 3.5 in the config file. This made CC.NET (our build server software) look for MSBuild.exe in the 3.5 folder, which I didn't have installed in that computer. I just installed .NET 3.5, and now things are honky-dory again.
Forgot to mention that the passwords for new registrations work just fine.
It seems that a LOT of you are not reading what I wrote about the database corruption. Passwords to this site got damaged. I have to reset them manually. You need to email me at fastalanasa AT wheelmud DOT net and request a new/temporary password. There's no other way around it. The password retrieval facilities of this site won't help either. The same applies to those that have locked out accounts. Just contact me, and save yourself a hair pulling session.
No really. It's for real this time.
I created the Windows service to run the custom svnserve.exe server, but I forgot to start the service. D'OH. Anyways, I just tested it, and it's working correctly now.
