Design goals are now in the wiki

By Fastalanasa   172 Views  0 CommentsArticle Rating

I took some time to put a list of design goals for WheelMUD in the wiki. This is basically a paraphrase of what Karak put in a forum post. I thought that Karak did a very good job in describing what our goals have always been. We've had a hard time articulating these goals in the past. Hopefully, these goals will give everybody a sense of what WheelMUD is all about.

The forums are back up

By host   165 Views  2 CommentsArticle Rating

The vendor got back to me incredibly fast.

THE FORUMS ARE BACK UP!

Now go read the forums, or I will start reading Vogon poetry!

Thanks,

Forums are down

By host   147 Views  0 CommentsArticle Rating

Since people are not reading the previous post about the forums being down, I'll make it very clear...

THE FORUMS ARE DOWN!

There. They will be down until I get them re-activated by the vendor.

You have now been deemed... Mostly Harmless

Thanks,

Move to PowerDNN was sucessful

By host   136 Views  0 CommentsArticle Rating

I turned off the website that I was hosting on my cable modem, and remapped all of the DNS entries for the wheelmud.net domain. Not everybody will see the new entries rigth away. It will take up to 72 hours for the new info to get propagated through all the DNS servers across the Internet.

I'm still waiting on the vendor for the forums to re-activate my license. There's also some lingering problems with images and file paths. Those are slowly getting updated in DNN cache. Some images might appear broken. If you still see broken images after 72 hours from this post, please report them.

Thanks,

Your friendly and invisible System Administrator

Upgrade was successful

By host   135 Views  0 CommentsArticle Rating

I have just upgraded our DotNetNuke installation to version 4.9.3 successfully. I will be starting the move to our new host provider soon. There will be intermitent down time, while this is accomplished. The DNS info may take up to 72 hours to propagate.

Thanks,

Your friendly and invisible System Administrator
